Kinabalu Park - UNESCO World Heritage Site
Rising up majestically at 4,101 meters (and growing), Mount Kinabalu is the highest mountain between Papua New Guinea and the Himalayas.

Kinabalu Park is Malaysia's first UNESCO "World Heritage" site. It is about 90 kilometers away from the city of Kota Kinabalu.

From rich tropical lowland and hill rainforest to tropical mountain forest, sub-alpine forest and scrub on the higher elevations. The Park contains high biodiversity with representatives from more than half the families of all flowering plants.

One can either visit the park just to enjoy the splendor of nature or for the more adventurous, attempt to conquer the mountain. Either one is a visit or an attempt to cherish.
