Klias Peninsular
The Klias Peninsula contains the largest peat swamp forest in northern end of Borneo. Within the Peninsular is the Klias Wetland, a Mangrove Forest Reserve rich with wildlife and birds.

There are four major natural vegetation types in the area namely, mangrove forest in coastal area, nipah swamp, freshwater swamp forest and peat swamp forest.

Cruising down the river, one will get to experience the serenity of the river and the abundance lives that live in the marsh. Among the wildlife that can be sighted along the river are the proboscis monkeys, long tail macaque and silver languor monkey as well as a variety of birds.

On the return trip back to the jetty, timed to the hour of sunset, the marsh offers a totally different scenery. Returning birds going back to their perch can now be spotted, while nocturnal creatures like flying foxes begin their hunt.

As night falls, fireflies can be seen along the bank of the river. Some trees are lighted up by more than a thousand fireflies that they resemble a Christmas trees.
